Join a Band This Summer
Looking for an exciting, creative and confidence-boosting activity for the summer holidays in Newbury? The Good Vibes Summer Band Course 2026 is back this July — giving young musicians the chance to experience what it’s really like to be in a band.
Running from 27th–31st July 2026, this high-energy five-day music course is designed for young people aged 8–18 who love music, want to build confidence, and learn by playing real songs with other musicians.
Whether your child is already performing confidently or just starting their musical journey, the course offers a welcoming and supportive environment where students can collaborate, rehearse, record and perform together with guidance from professional musician tutors.
Over the week, students will:
Form bands with other young musicians
Rehearse and arrange songs together
Learn directly from experienced GVMA tutors
Build confidence in performance and creativity
Perform live in the studio for family and friends
From guitarists, drummers and singers to keyboard players, bassists and beyond — all instruments and vocalists are welcome. No previous band experience is needed, just enthusiasm and a love of music.
Held at the professional studios of Good Vibes Music Academy in the heart of Newbury, the Summer Band Course has become a highlight of the holidays for many local young musicians. For some, it’s their first experience playing in a band; for others, it’s the start of writing songs, performing live and making lasting musical friendships.
