Our Summer Band Course is Back!

Our most popular course throughout the year - the summer band course is back for 2025.

This time running between July 28th and August 1st we are putting on a week-long band experience you won’t forget.

The course is open to all students 8-16 who will be split up into bands based on age/ability and they’ll spend the week jamming, writing, collaborating and performing together.

What will you do?

Monday 28th - Introductions - Split into band groups - Learn first song and decide on the three song set list for Friday

Tuesday 29th - Whole group discussion on performance and collaboration skills - Work on arrangements for songs 1 and 2.

Wednesday 30th - Writing day! The bands will write their own peice of music under the guidance of GVMA pros.

Thursday 31st - Performance preparation - Bands will take their 3 song set list, rehearse the arrangements and parts ready for Fridays performance.

Friday 1st - Final preparations and set up. Bands will perform their 3-song set for each other and the audience.
