The Five Pillars of Musical Development
Learning an instrument is about far more than playing the right notes. Every Good Vibes lesson develops five key areas that we know modern musicians need.
Ability
Developing the technical skills needed to play an instrument with confidence and control.
Creativity
Encouraging students to improvise, write music, experiment and discover their own musical ideas.
Musicianship
Understanding how music works and developing the skills to play different styles of music with expression and musical understanding.
Collaboration
Learning to play with other musicians through backing tracks, bands, workshops and live performances.
Performance
Helping students share their music through concerts, events and exams, turning lessons into real musical experiences.
These five pillars are developed throughout every stage of the Good Vibes Learning Pathway and are reinforced through our workshops, band courses, performances and Trinity Rock & Pop exams.
